No, we are a content platform focused on reviews, guides, and reading advice. We do not sell books directly. However, our bookstore guides include detailed information about where to purchase books in Budapest, both in physical stores and online. We recommend supporting independent bookstores whenever possible.

We welcome guest contributions from fellow readers, literary scholars, and anyone with genuine expertise in Hungarian literature or reading culture. We review all submissions for accuracy, quality, and alignment with our editorial standards before publishing.

We aim to revisit and update our bookstore and library reviews at least once per year. If a bookstore undergoes significant changes such as relocation, new ownership, or closure, we prioritize updating that review sooner. If you notice outdated information in any of our guides, please let us know and we will investigate promptly.

Not at all. All book recommendations on our site are for works available in English translation. The Hungarian literary community has seen a significant increase in quality English translations over the past two decades, making many important works accessible to non-Hungarian readers. We always specify the translator and publisher for each recommended title.
